Outer Island Excursions is proud to present our Emergency Water Taxi Service, providing emergency transportation for pedestrians between the San Juan Islands in the event of Washington State Ferry service disruptions. This service starts and ends at Orcas Island Ferry Terminal and transits between Orcas, Shaw, San Juan, and Lopez islands.
The crossing only takes about 30 minutes between each island. Each person is allocated one large backpack. Recreational equipment such as bikes, pets, and any additional luggage also require a reservation.
By making this booking, you the reservation holder agree to arrive 15 minutes before departure. We cannot hold the boat for late arrivals.

Actual times will be determined by when the ferry disruption occurs. Service will commence within 2 hours of the event of a ferry disruption, at which point the schedule will be announced for the service on our website at https://www.outerislandx.com/emergency-water-taxi

You must arrive for check in at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. We cannot wait for late arrivals.
