Sucia is only accessible by private boat. Its remote and undeveloped character make it a haven for wildlife and its large protected bays make it a wonderful setting for explorers of all ages. Sucia has caves, fossil beds, spectacular sandstone formations and a wide variety of wildlife. One can encounter bald eagles, osprey, harlequin ducks, river otters, harbor seals, sea lions, porpoise and even the occasional orca whale!

Each person is allocated one large bag (25 lbs per person). Please call us at (360) 376 - 3711 to discuss any additional recreational equipment inlcuding coolers, camping gear, firewood, personal bikes, personal kayaks, etc. If you have additional gear we may need a larger boat or to take two trips which will incur addtional cost for transportation.
Kayak and e-bike rentals are available for $50 per person per day. Rentals require a reservation, and must be reserved for the entire duration of your stay on Sucia Island. There are no charging stations on Sucia Island.
Be extremely cautious when kayaking at Sucia Island! Kayakers cannot paddle alone. It is critical to know how to read the nautical charts and the tide current charts as well as have accurate and up to date weather reports. Tide rips and sudden gusty winds can come up quickly and surprise you. There are no rescue services on the island.
