From March 1st to November 15th we GUARANTEE YOU WILL SEEE A WHALE OR AN ORCA or you will get a FREE ticket to come back!
From November 16 to the end of February, WHALE SIGHTINGS ARE NOT GUARANTEED because we have less visitors and therefore less boats searching to find them- but there are still plenty of whales out there! We prioritize Orcas and other whales, and also often encounter an abundance of other wildlife including Steller's Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Bald Eagles, otters, and a wide variety of seabirds.
Children (and infants) require a standard adult or senior ticket and cannot join a tour unattended!
Check in for your tour begins 30 minutes prior to departure at the little building on the dock. This departure location is on Orcas Island which can only be reached by small plane or the Washington State Ferry System!

WINTER WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS: Winter is brisk in the Pacific Northwest! We will attempt to go out in most conditions, so be prepared for cold and rain. The whales and wildlife are already wet so they don't care about the rain! However, if it is very windy and the sea state is too rough, we may have to move or cancel departures. Please be prepared to be flexible for the best chance of success- and dress warmly!
We have a 25% non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee. Your trip is transferable until 72hrs before your departure. No-shows will be charged in full. Outer Island Excursions may cancel trips due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, you will be refunded in full. If you do have to cancel within 72 hrs of departure, you will be charged 100%, unless we are able to resell your tickets. If you would like to attempt to pursue this option, call us as soon as possible.
